Barbara has a long association with international trade having worked for several years with the South Pacific Trade Commission, which saw her travel to some of the least visited places in the world. This provided her with unique experiences of Pacifica culture, through which she developed a deep appreciation of Pacifica Arts & Music. Until retiring in 2016, Barbara was with the British Consulate General in Auckland for 17 years, firstly as Trade Officer, and then some 10 years as Deputy Director of Trade and Hon. Vice-Consul. During that time she travelled extensively representing British business interests not only encouraging trade with NZ, but also interfacing with buyers and business ventures around the globe. Barbara has a deep appreciation of what appeals to various sectors of the consumer market.

Chris has had a long career as an Auctioneer of Antiques, Art, Jewellery & Watches. For the last 25 years his focus has been specifically on Jewellery, Watches, and  Objects of Virtu ( Fabergé, Cartier etc). He was widely acknowledged as the leading auctioneer in NZ in those fields, and featured extensively in the TV series “Going, Going, Gone” with the sale of such items as “ The Golden Bull”; “The Golden Sword gifted to the late David Lange”; The “Jean Batten Brooch” a diamond studded brooch, owned by her, in the form of her Percivil Gull aeroplane; The “King Otto Box”, a beautiful gold & enamel box gifted by the then King of Greece to a young naval lieutennant who went on to become Admiral Bird of Antarctica sailing in the ships “Erebus” & “Terror”. He featured in dozens of news items and articles in an array of media and wrote an article published in the Family Law Journal. He has an on-going interest in Art, Music and Museology.
